  • Bake in the preheated oven until cornbread is golden brown, 20 to 25 minutes.

Cook's Note:

If you do not have buttermilk, you can make sour milk. Mix 1 tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice and 1 cup of milk together in a bowl; let sit for 5 minutes.
